Spierhead gets it right!

Spierhead, Chardonnay, Gentleman Farmer Vineyard, 2012, Kelowna VQA, BC
Classic Kiwi take on this Chardonnay; gala apple, ripe pear, melon nose with telltale signs of toasty, vanilla spice via the kiss of French oak. Deft touch on this single vineyard offering, beautiful balance of oak and fruit. 89 points.

Spierhead, Pinot Gris, 2013, Kelowna VQA, BC
Pinot Gris is getting better and better as Okanagan vineyards mature and this Spierhead is no exception. Citrus, a melange of orchard fruit and apple peel lead to a tangy granny smith apple taste on the palate.
Nice balance between fruit and acidity and quite a long finish for a Gris. Try with a cheese fondue for maximum impact. 88 points.

Spierhead, Pinot Noir, Kelowna VQA, BC
Burgundy on a budget, this Pinot has all the hallmarks of a Burgundy Premier Cru. Earthy, chalky, with plenty of raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant fruit. A warm dose of vanilla and toast on the palate, well balanced and just darn delicious. 89 points.
