Haywire Pinot Gris sets the standard for BC

Haywire Pinot Gris 2013

If you have to try only one Pinot Gris from the Okanagan it should be the new 2013 Pinot Gris from Haywire. It has a complex and signature style that combines the best of the new and old world. Generous amounts of up front fruit aromas and taste on this wine with a mingling of peach, apricot, lemon and grapefruit with a hint a fresh herbs. It gets even better on the palate with a dry, full structured mouth feel and lingering citrus oil and mineral components. This wine is an excellent and welcome change of pace from the usual offerings of BC Pinot Gris. 90 points.
